"Pressured" into Suicide

This is my third Mesonet project. I'm interested in the weather and its effect on people. I had an idea for a project and then did research on the Internet to get more information.

I decided to do this project because I had done an earlier project on weather and its effect on people. I wondered if barometric air pressure had any effect on the number of people who commit suicide. I obtained information regarding the number of suicides and I obtained data regarding the barometric pressure. I graphed the pressure and the number of suicides on line graphs and made a pie chart to show the results.

I learned that there is not a relationship between barometric pressure and the number of suicides. More suicides do not occur when the barometric pressure is low.

I would like to do another Mesonet project because I'm interested in weather.
