Cooperative Institute for Mesoscale Meteorological Studies (CIMMS) in Norman,

Andrew Wood completed his B.S. in Atmospheric Science in May of 1993 from
the University at Albany and his M.S. in Meteorology in May of 1997 from
the University of Oklahoma.
Wood began his career in meteorology in 1997 at
the Oklahoma Climatological Survey, where he had worked as a student for a
few years. His interests include severe weather, operational forecasting, warning
operations, and educational outreach. Currently, he works with the Warning
and Decision Training Branch (WDTB) of the NWS Training Division. They provide
radar and warning decision making training for NWS personnel through distance
learning, web modules, CD-ROM, and residence courses.
"In a typical day,
I work to support our trainers teaching our Warning Decision Making (WDM) workshops
and Distance Learning Operations Course (DLOC) as well as develop training
modules that forecasters can access on the Internet."
Andy likes sports,
drawing, reading, and anything else that's fun. |
